You spoke to God?

God is always talking

Or did you speak with God?

What was the response you got?
How did you know he heard you?
Did it bother you?

In the place of true communion with God, you listen more to HIM and talk less.
This can only be achieved if you train yourself to be more quiet in HIS presence.

He is always talking my friends but are we ready to listen? Or are we so engrossed in our own demands, worries, cares that our complains drown out HIS VOICE?

So learnt to commune with, talk with and not talk to God. Learn to listen more to God and talk less. ” Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” James 1:19

Try it, it gets better with practise.

THE STATE OF YOUR HEART

“1 As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?” Ps 42:1-2 (KJV)

-What does your heart yearn for today?
-what is the state of your heart?
-what is your motivation?

It is good you are up and about and to go conquer today because you are more than a conqueror.

But remember you didn’t wake yourself up this morning and it therefore behoves you to give thanks to the one who woke you up.

Let Christ be seen in everything you do today and let him be:
- your focus,
-your motivation,
-your push,
-your driving force.
-your passion.

Let HIM be the centre or all you do today and always and pull strength and inspiration from HIM to face the challenges of today.

If truly God is your father and he woke you up this morning, then he is waiting for you to say good morning to him so he can give you of few tips that will help save time, energy and resources.

So THINK SMART and THINK GOD and THANK HIM.

HE IS WAITING FOR YOUR CALL.

UNDERSTANDING AND DISCERNING THE TIMES 2

Timothy in 2 Timothy3: 1-9. =>¹ But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: ² For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, ⁴ traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! ⁶ For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, ⁷ always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. ⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; ⁹ but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

We are admonished by Timothy that the perilous times will come. We cannot wish it away and with all the events unfolding in these last days, it’s obvious that the times are here with us. In as much as it seems that we do not see the miracles as of old manifested in the church, it is evident that God is still at work even more than ever.

Ps 133 says when we dwell in unity, then we will receive commanded blessing.
Mind you that God is still visiting HIS PEOPLE and the visitation will not always be accomplished by screaming and paraphernalia that our senses are used to but might be in the still voice just to bring a reassurance to his children that he loves them and as he has promised that he will be with them until the end of the age.

I look forward to more of such visitations that bring a lot of reassurance and comfort that we are not alone as the king himself has sworn, that he will never leave nor forsake us.

Are we then willing to trust him? Better still are we willing to believe the testimony of ‘common blind Bartimeaus’ or wait for the ‘spiritually blind ‘Pharisees in our midst to approve such testimonies? Or will we rather follow God who evidently has moved from the polluted and desecrated pulpits to the pew to provide his reassuring presence, love and comfort to his children who look to him.

One thing is for sure though; God does not need our approval to do what he wants to do. He does as he pleases because of his sovereignty. Ask Esau why he taught God chose to love his brother Jacob even before they were both born.

My prayer however for you is Ephesians 1:17-19 (NKJV)

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

¹⁸ the eyes of your understanding  being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

¹⁹ and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

·         How can the eyes of your understanding be enlightened?

·         Does understanding have eyes?

·         If it has eyes, then does it have all the other senses?

I woke up with a burden to pray for the body of Christ this morning like never before.

What were my prayer points?

(1)    That the church of Christ in Nigeria will be united and speak as one man ( Amos 3:3)

(2)    That there will be no segregation or congregationalism (Ps 133)

(3)    A fresh outpouring of the Spirit of the living God evidenced with signs and wonders ( Joel 2:28-29)

(4)    That every true minister of the gospel who has been hidden like the 7000 prophets in the times of Elijah will be revealed in this season (1 kings 19:10,14,18)

(5)    That any minister who minister falsehood from the pulpit will be exposed and their congregations will be set free from their bondage (Is 58:6b)

(6)    That everyone in the valley of decision will receive the engrafted word which will change their lives (Heb 4:12)

(7)    That an encounter with God will change my life this year such that I will serve him like never before.

Then I felt led to pray also that the God will grant me the spirit of discernment, so I can discern every spirit and test everyone.

Why is this so important? This is because we are living in very dangerous times with the largest population on the face of the earth right now being Christians.  With so many Christians and churches in every nook and cranny,

• why does it seem that there is less effect of the power of God in these churches?
• Why are the hearts of men beginning to fail them because of fear?
• Why are you so uncertain of what the future holds?

We all need answers to these questions and others that may be looming in your hearts as you read this article.

Doesn’t a righteous man leave an inheritance for his children’s children?

But a wise father once told me “Leave a positive impressionable mark in the lives of the people you come across.”

Is this not a claim to making our lives count?

I no longer ask the Lord to bless me because I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ.

How do I know? What is my proof? Because I seek HIS kingdom first and its righteousness and every other thing is added. “Enikeni ti iwo ba nipa lati se iranlowo fun o, seboun no lenikeji re, toju re”
(Whosoever you have the ability to do good to, that is your neighbour, please take care of him/her)

I no longer ask to be blessed for I am blessed already. I only seek to be a blessing to everyone I come across or who comes across my way.

Is it in the prayer I say without being asked?
Is it in the way I smile to show someone “do u know Jesus loves you and it is not over yet?”
Is it in the way I worship God in the congregation of the righteous hoping to encourage someone to learn to surrender all to Jesus?
Is it in sharing the little I have just to have somebody thank God for his blessings?

Much thanksgiving goes to God our father when we touch the lives of his children expecting nothing in return.

Every one of us has something to give to make the world a better place for other children of God. “Be kind to everyone especially to those of the household of faith”

Looking inwards and going to bed every night feeling spent in energy, prayer, smile, laughter, finances, kind words, patience, love and tolerance are great treasures to store up in our bank account both here and the hereafter. “It is more blessed to give than to receive”

“Let us not be weary in well doing for we will reap in due season if we faint not” Gal 6:9
God loves us and expects us to share a little of that love with other people. “For God so loved… that he gave” John 3:16

Yes I can lie down feeling fulfilled that I have helped to make d world a better place for others today.
These are my thoughts for today.
